Fishing Report 11/19/08
After yesterday’s success it’s hard not to go out there again today. Good snook bite right now up in canals and river mouths. Also have seen some good reports for redfish and trout in the bay. Those venturing offshore are finding fish inside of 40-feet which tells me those grouper are moving in as the water cools.

Inshore: Full moon and cold front causing some funky fishing. The bite turns on and then stops. One species unaffected is trout. The trout bite has been steady and big fish are being reported everywhere, of course, they are out of season.
Offshore: Gags are moving in close as the water temp drops. Kings and mackerel are still on fire.

Inshore: Good reports of grouper starting to be picked up in the bay. Also some redfish and trout on the flats of Fort DeSoto. I have seen a few reports of flounder, pompano, and permit on the beaches which is good to hear.
Offshore: Heavy winds are keeping anglers close to the beach most of the time, but good reports of red and gag grouper in 35+ feet.

Sorry for the lack of reports. Having some issues with the site that should be resolved soon. Great news is that fish are biting. Inshore action is heating up. Small grouper, jacks, flounder, and big trout are keeping anglers busy. Slow down those lures as the water temp drops and especially right after a cold snap. Offshore the kings are on fire along with a good mix of spanish mackerel.

The wind keeps cranking and keeping most fishing spots in check. But those who have hid from the wind are finding good numbers of snook and redfish in the quiet canals and windward side of the bays. Send us your reports!!!
